This website is operated by Dubia HQ. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Dubia HQ.

By visiting our website and/or purchasing something from us, you agree to these Terms of Service, including any additional terms and policies referenced on our website.

Online Store Terms

By using this website and placing an order, you represent that you are legally permitted to purchase and possess the products being ordered in your jurisdiction.

You may not use our products or services for any unlawful purpose or violate any applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations.

Live Insects

Dubia HQ sells live Dubia roaches (Blaptica dubia) primarily as feeder insects and, where specifically identified, as breeding stock.

By purchasing live insects, you acknowledge that:

  • Live animals naturally vary in size, appearance, activity, and condition.

  • Listed measurements and size ranges are approximate.

  • Dubia roaches continue to grow and molt after delivery.

  • Individual insects may occasionally be slightly larger or smaller than the listed size.

  • Live insects require appropriate care after delivery.

Product photographs, when provided, are representative and do not guarantee the exact appearance of every insect received.

Product Quantities

Live insect quantities are sold by approximate count.

Dubia HQ generally overcounts live Dubia shipments by approximately 10% whenever possible to help compensate for minor or normal shipping losses.

The additional insects are provided as an overcount and are not part of the quantity purchased.

For example, a customer purchasing 100 Dubia roaches is purchasing 100 roaches even when approximately 110 are included in the shipment.

Product Availability

All live insect products are subject to availability.

Because our inventory consists of living animals that grow and change size, availability may change without notice.

We reserve the right to:

  • Limit quantities available for purchase

  • Temporarily mark products or sizes unavailable

  • Cancel or modify quantities when inventory is insufficient

  • Discontinue products or sizes

  • Delay fulfillment when necessary to protect the health of live insects

If we cannot fulfill an order or an agreed substitute is not available, the affected portion of the order will be refunded.

Prices

Prices are subject to change without notice.

The price charged for an order is the price displayed and accepted at checkout at the time the order is placed, excluding corrections required because of an obvious pricing or technical error.

Applicable shipping charges and taxes are displayed during checkout where required.

Orders

We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including in cases involving:

  • Product availability

  • Suspected fraud or unauthorized transactions

  • Pricing or technical errors

  • Shipping restrictions

  • Incorrect or incomplete customer information

  • Orders that cannot legally be shipped to the destination

  • Circumstances that would create an unreasonable risk to the safe shipment of live insects

If we cancel an order that has been paid and has not been fulfilled, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

Shipping

Eligible live Dubia orders currently ship according to the rates and conditions described in our Shipping Policy.

Because we ship live insects, we may delay shipment because of extreme temperatures, severe weather, holidays, carrier disruptions, or other circumstances that could significantly affect safe live arrival.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address and retrieving live shipments promptly after delivery.

Live Arrival Guarantee

Live insect shipments are subject to our Live Arrival Guarantee.

Major losses beyond our approximately 10% overcount must be reported within 2 hours of carrier-marked delivery and must meet the documentation and other requirements stated in our Refund Policy and Shipping & Live Arrival policy.

Qualifying claims may be resolved through a replacement shipment or store credit at Dubia HQ's discretion.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has been packed or shipped.

Returns & Refunds

Because our products are live insects, live insects cannot be returned or exchanged and all live-insect sales are final, except as otherwise provided by our Refund Policy or required by applicable law.

Please review our Refund Policy before placing an order.

Legal Shipping Restrictions

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they purchase may legally be possessed at their delivery destination.

Dubia HQ does not knowingly ship Dubia roaches to destinations where their possession, sale, or importation is prohibited or requires authorization that has not been provided.

We do not ship Dubia roaches to Florida or Hawaii.

We reserve the right to cancel orders to restricted destinations.

Customer Information

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate information when placing an order.

You are responsible for ensuring that your email address, shipping address, billing information, and other order information are correct.

Dubia HQ is not responsible for delivery problems caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website, including original text, graphics, logos, photographs, product descriptions, guides, and other materials created by Dubia HQ, is owned by or licensed to Dubia HQ and may not be reproduced or commercially used without permission except as permitted by law.

Customers are responsible for determining appropriate feeding practices, feeder sizes, supplementation, and animal care for the animals in their care.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dubia HQ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our website or products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dubia HQ from claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses resulting from your unlawful use of our website or products or your violation of these Terms.
